REVIEW, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion

For Christmas I asked my Mom for a really good moisturiser. My skin is a combination of dry and oily. Particularly oily around my t-zone, Particularly dry around my nose and cheek area. My skin has been this way for as long as I can remember so I figured it was about time I did something about it.

I have been using this product twice a day since Christmas. I like it. But find myself not loving it.

Pros:
1. It does the job. It moisturises my skin especially when I concentrate on my dry areas.
2. It feels light on the skin when fully absorbed.
3. The texture is neither heavy nor light. It balances somewhere in the middle if that makes sense.

Cons:
1. The main con I have about this product is that it works slowly. Maybe I'm expecting a bit much from a moisturiser. If you are not aware of your skin and your skin type, this should not be a problem for you. However if you are like me and know all the in's and out's, you will notice the effects of this moisturiser very slow.
2. I find myself using a lot of the product in one moisturising session. Averagely one pump or pea size amount of product is used for the entire face. With this, I use between 2-3 pumps.
3. Lastly, the product does not easily absorb into the skin. If the cream is rubbed in the wrong way, it almost looks like you're applying a facial mask. It sits on the skin. Alot of massaging into the skin is needed.

Overall, like I said, I like the product but did not love it. Therefore I would not re-purchase this moisturiser. I think next time I go to buy a good moisturiser, I will probably stick to Clinique as they are reknowned for their skincare but choose a different product.

A Question for you all.

OK, So lately I have been obsessed with contouring. I have been using Barry M Natural Dazzle Bronzer for the last few months. I like it but I don't love it. I also have dabbled with Benefit Dallas Bronzer too which I prefer. Only problem is that it's my Mam's and it's too much of an effort convincing her to allow me to use it.

So basically I am on the look out for a new bronzer/contouring product?
Let me know what you use and recommend a few for me
Thanks x

I am BACK! :)

Hey everyone.

You probably forgot all about me which is understandable considering I haven't blogged in over a year (I am probably the most un-motivated person ever) but 2011 is here! Time for new beginnings and all that stuff.

So look out for new posts coming very soon.

Ramble, Ramble No. 1

I can see myself going alot of these posts in the future! HA!

YSL Lipstick in Lingerie Pink. LOVE it!

I am loving college at the moment. All the girls(and 1 boy) are really nice and friendly! The day flies by because Im enjoying the course so much! I get to practice makeup 3/4 days Im in. The rest of the time is concentrated on Theory and Portfolio Presentation.
I just ordered my Mac makeup Kit yesterday, there's so much stuff in it! Im going to do a separate post listing all the products ill be getting! :) The only thing Im not liking is the early starts! Getting up at 7ish is not agreeing with me :( We all do it I suppose!

I havent been blogging too much, partially because of college but also because of work. A few people left recently which means they are short staffed on certain days so I am getting more extra hours over the past few weeks. I only used to work saturdays but have started working sundays now too. Thinking of the money I can spend on clothes, makeup and drink gets me through it!

I am so broke this month, after paying for my Mac makeup Kit but I REALLY want the YSL Rouge Volupte Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick in both Lingerie Pink and Nude Beige. I swatched them when I was in town the other day. They are so creamy and are gorgeous colours! I didnt check the price though, which Im kinda scared to do! EEK!

Finally......

I started my makeup course!

I dont start proper classes until tomorrow ( I have ever monday off ) but I am so excited. I was in for 2hours last week for an induction day and so far, so good!
The 3 tutors that I have have all worked in tv, film, and fashion and have loads experience. One of my tutors is one of the makeup artists on The Tudors!!
The course content is brilliant as it covers high fashion makeup, to special effects makeup, to theatre and media makeup to airbrushing etc. This is definately one of the main reasons I chose this, it covers all types of makeup which is useful!
On the first day they showed us a portfolio belonging to one of the girls who did the course the year before! It was HUGE! There was so much work put into it! They warned us that it wasnt going to be easy and I have a feeling they're right! To make a great portfolio, im going to have to put alot of time and effort into it which I am more than willing to do. I just cant wait to get started!
Some of the looks that are required for our portfolio are High fashion, ballet/dancer, oriental/geisha, a certain period eg. 1920's, old age, an animal, and a victim of violence!
Also, they gave us the list of the Mac makeup kit we will be recieving and I could not believe it! There are about 60 products including 6 foundations, 3 concealers, 8 brushes, 16 eyeshadows, 4 lipsticks, powders and lip and eye pencils etc. OOh can't wait to get it!!!
I also have to get a special effects kit which is cool too!

Ill keep updating how I am getting on and what Im learning! So excited!
Until then xxx

My Wish-List No. 1

Paul's Boutique Diamond Large Twister bag

Love this bag! So funky! Its on Asos, but its 80euro! I think its worth it! Its pretty big and I only ever use big bags!

Asos Stiletto ankle boots

I've wanted ankle boots for ages now but could never find the right pair. I LOVE these ones, I think they come in black too and have a splash of colour at the heel!

Mac Amber Lights Eyeshadow

I love bronze colours and this one is AMAZING!

Mac 109 Brush

I've been really into contouring lately. Im currently using a simple small blusher brush with no brand name that I found in my makeup collection but something tells me this brush would do a better job!

Hope you guys enjoyed xx

R.I.P Stephen Gately

Boyzone have always and will forever be my favourtie boyband of all time. I am absolutely devastated that Stephen Gately has died! He was my favourite member. When I think back to my younger years, Boyzone and Stephen Gately played a huge part, so I feel a part of my childhood is gone. R.I.P Stephen x
